Rishtons ladies  have been playing for a numbers of years now. Our overall approach is to have fun, exercise, and make new friends whilst playing a bit of cricket for our town! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and we try and engage members of our community throughout the year in events such as our Annual Charity Ladies Day to encourage social and sport participation. 

All new players are welcome to join us. All training equipment is provided and we play with a softball!

 We have women from their late teens into their fifties, varying levels of fitness, mums and daughters playing together and most players are quite new to the game! Whilst we play competitive matches, our ethos is that taking part and having fun is what really counts!

In 2022, we will continue the Winter Indoor competition, Softball Festivals, Softball League, Charity Ladies day and ultra competitive "Rishton Lashes." . We try and make sure everybody has a chance of a game!

Hardball will be incorporated into some training sessions for those who want to try it.

If you are new, you are welcome to attend a practice session for free before deciding if you would like to join! You can contact the club on the details below. If you have any friends interested to please invite them along, it really is a case of the more the merrier

This year’s Outdoor training dates have not yet been finalised. However once this has been done details will be posted in the Club and via Social Media. Previously training has been held on Wednesdays between 6 and 7pm. All updates will also be posted on Rishton CC Women’s Whatsapp group chat.

At the moment, GIRLS are training and playing with the boys in mixed cricket, However if there was enough girls we would try to organise a girls only team. For children’s cricket please contact Glenn Fox.
